TE KUITI BAND.
NEW UNIFORMS BOUGHT. (Special to Times.) TE KUITI. Saturday. Mr A. Blackman presided at the annual meeting of the Te Kuitl Municipal Band. The playing strength or tlie band w*s 26, and 3 5 bad Joined tbe newly-instituted learners’ classes. The sum or £147 bad been raised In tbe town and uniforms had been purchased. Mr A. D. Timbers bad resigned arter many years’ sendee as honorary conductor and his place had been taken by Mr Zinsli, of Te Awamutu. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron. Mr W. J. Rroadroot, M.P.; president. Mr A. Blackman; vicepresidents. Messrs E. M. Mackersey and If. R. Whiter executive. Messrs J. C. Henderson. H. C. Douglas. A. C. Corlett, \V. Stewart. W. Swirt, H. Bush and H. Higgins; secretary, Mr W. Stewart; treasurer, Mr M. J. Strange; auditor. Mr E. Reid. Tbs rormer conductor, .Mr Timbers, was elected a life member.
