TE AROHA FUNCTIONS

CALEDONIAN INGLEBIDE. (Special to Times.) TE AROHA. Friday. The Chief, Mr N. O. McLeod, presided at the July Ingleslde or the Te Aroha Caledonian Society. The programme opened with a selection by the Te Aroha Pipe Band, and Items were contributed by Messrs Dunbar and A. J. Sheat. Te Aroha Kiris delighted the assemblage with Highland dances, the pipe music being supplied by Piper G. Palmer. Following the supper Interval, the Chief gave an Interesting address on Scottish and traditions. Old-time dances were then held and proved exceedingly popular, DRUIDB’ BALL. On Wednesday evening the Te Aroha Druids’ Lodge held It* first annual ball, the function proving highly successful and me attendance numbering fully 350. visitors were present from Hamilton. Matamata, Morrlnsville. Parma and every part or the To Aroha district. Music was supplied by Peterson’s Tull orchestra from Auckland. A novelty dance was won Vy two members or the Morrlnsville lodge, and a spot waltr by Miss D. Hobbs anq Mr D. Hint*. Mr P. Leonard acted *4 M.C.
