£5 FOR A JUMP.

PARACHUTISTS COMBINE. ‘‘A ‘SCREWY’ BUSINESS.” LONDON, July 1. The trade union idea has spread to parachute jumpers in New York, says the new York reporter of the Daily Express. The National Association of Parachute Jumpers was formed to-day. Members must insist on a minimum fee of £5 each time they jump from and airplane—on pain of being flung out of the union. Harry Schultz, the father of all parachutists and head ol' the union, says: “Business liatf become so screwy some boys were jumping for live dollars, some were jumping for coffee and cakes. “ Well, you can’t have that. We had to protect our business. No matter how good a jumper you are it’s a risky trade.”
