AUTHORITY ON CHINA. A VISITOR TO HAMILTON. The China Inland Mission’s secretary for Scotland. Ihc Rev. Dr. Arllmr Taylor, will visit Hamilton this weekend. lie is considered nrie of I lie lead ing authorities on China. n - Taylor, who is a doctor of divinity and F.db.w of the Rovnl Geographical Society, has also a‘ conlinental knighthood. He is considered one of Scotland's leading platform and pulpit ■speakers. He was one of the most popular lecturers to Glasgow’s unemployed during that city’s worst period of depression. He has preached in the leading churches of Great Britain. America,
Canada and Australia, as well as in New Zealand, where he was in the interests of the China Inland Mission 23 years ago. It will be of special interest to hear what he has to say about the situation in North China and of the serious troublee between China and
Japan, as he has just come to New Zealand direct from China, where ho has been undertaking long Journeys in order to get familiar with what Is taking place. Dr. Taylor will speak from local pulpits to-morrow.
