VICTORY FOR HAMILTON. DEFEAT OF THAMES. BIG MARGIN IN BRIGHT GAME. Dominating the entire match, the Hamilton High School first fifteen defeated the Thames High School team at Rugby Park this morning by 31 points to 0. The teams were: Hamilton: J. Cramp, J. Priscott, A. C. Shaw, W. Phillips; C. Giles, T. Shaw, I. Andrews, J. Gudex, T. Bullock, H. Eagleson, H. Cresswell, J. Holloway, J. Belcher, J. McKenzie, D. Tait. Thames: Moakes, Je’nkin, Bateman, Galloway, Sterling, Delamore. Lewin, McDonnell, Dynes, Stanley, Ingerson, Danby, Porath, Jennings, Marshall. Hamilton had the advantage of weight but the opening ten minutes of play were even, hard scrummaging being featured. Galloway intercepted and running swiftly on the left bank, paved the way for the first attack in Thames’ favour. Cresswell cleared for Hamilton and Phillips darted away to set Hamilton attacking in earnest, but the fast-breaking Thames forwards smothered the attack and central play followed. When the barrage’ re-de-veloped A. C. Shaw penetrated to score In the corner after a strong run. His kick failed. In a battle for a loose ball.
