Mr F. C. Roberts, of Te Kowhal. re* turned this morning from Wellington. Captain E. M. Mackersey, Ist. Battalion, Waikato Regiment, Is promoted to Major, according to this week’s New Zealand Gazette. Messrs J. Bollard and J. E. Tidd have been reappointed the Education Board’s representatives on the Hamilton High School Board of Governors. Dr. C. L. E. L. Sheppard, of Christchurch, has been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. The Rev. Dr. A. Taylor (secretary for Scotland of the China Inland Mission) Is visiting Hamilton. He will address the Hamilton Rotary Club on Monday. Mr W. Fraser, chairman of the management committee of the Waikato Rugby Union, and Mr T. W. Thompson, secretary, are visiting Auckland for the Springboks’ match to-day. Mr C. A. Barrel!. M.P. for Hamilton, will leave for Wellington to-morrow evening to attend the Labour Party caucus which has been called to welcome the return of the Prime Mtntster, the Right Hon. M. J.
