PETER PAN’S LETTER.

J)EAR QIRLB AND BOYB, And now the Holiday Ship has returned oruoe more to the shores of Happy School Days and all of Peter’s little members will be once again deep In book? until It Is time for them to go sailing on the blue seas of happy play hours once more. Peter heard those naughty Twins say quite happily the other night when Mummy was putting them to bed: “ Well, Mummy, In another few weeks we’ll be able to have another party, ’cause soon we will be having more holidays, and won’t that be lovely?” But Peter does not think that their Mummy thinks It la at all lovely as she Is still sweeping pleoes of mud plee and goodness only knows what out of the queerest plaoes where the Twins have left them while In search of more Adventflre. And auoh a splendid answer oame to Peter’s knitting competition last week that Peter oould hardly see the Bunshlne Girl, who was Inspecting all the gifts among piles of brown paper, and he very nearly fell over her. The Wendy Person and the Twins were very Interested, too, and when Peter arrived at work on Saturday a loud series of ooha and aha greeted him and here were those Circle people opening Peter’s paroels as fast as they could and all Peter could see was huge piles of string, brown paper and heads. There were bedjackets of the prettiest colours, knitted toys, scarves, Peggy squares and slippers, and lots and lots of other artloles all Jumbled together In a very gay pattern of bright wools. Then on Monday the Wendy Person came to Peter with a very Interesting-looking square parcel In her hands, and she remarked to Peter: 11 It must be something Very nice Peter because It has ‘perishable’ marked on It In very big letters, so do hurry and open It! ” And when Peter did manage to unwrap It he found a cardboard box and Inside the box, wrapped In the prettiest green and orange paper, was the loveliest bunch of Bprlng flowers that Peter has ever seen. Jonqu’lls, forget-me-nots, wallflower with the sweetest scent and the softest of velvety brown petals, violets and some of the loveliest daphne whose beautiful scent filled the room and Peter was the most envied person In the whole office. Thank you very much for that lovely surprise, Shirley Hloks—Peter thought the flowers were wonderful. Then, too, the other day the Sunshine Girl arrived with the loveliest posy of dainty primroses In a little silver holder and they made such a lovely picture In a crystal vase, with Just one or two sprays of feathery asparagus fern and a few freezlas. Such beautiful sweetscented flowers there are Just now, aren’t there, little members? Peter noticed that the pussy willow was Just opening out Its brown casing and showing Its soft grey-fur coats to the world and suoh a welcome sight they made too. But now Peter must finish this letter, for the Printer Man Is standing behind him and saying: “DO hurry Peter, or the ohlldren will not have a letter at all this week as there will not be enough time left to print It! ” and the frown on his face Is terrible. So good-bye, little people. With lots of love and sunshine gold to you all. From your own,
