A message from Toklo states Jhnl in view of possible fluctuations of the veil the Japanese Government h is derided upon the provisional revaluatlot of the gold reserve of the Rank ol Japan at a rate of 3.50 per gramma This will yield a profit of £47.000.000. half of which will he embarked for shipment abroad. The financial editor of the Yew York Times says Japan is dumping huge quantities of gold in the United States, having sent 105.000,000 dollars’ worth since March. Further large consignments ere coming in order to obtain the high price and immediately to convert the proceeds into sterling. The step, says the writer, is connected with the prospects of war in the Far East.
