SERIOUS DEFECT
SEEPAGE IN DAM. REPORT BY AUSTRALIAN EXPERTS. BIG HYDRO-ELECTRIC SCHEME. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. SYDNEY, July 22. Serious defects in the concrete walls and considerable seepage in the Immense Burrunjuok dam, which is near the Federal Capital Territory, have been reported to the Government by experts 'who are’ Investigating the liydro-electrlc possibilities in New South Wales. The Premier, Mr B. S. Stevens, stated to-night that although there was no cause for alarm remedial measures were being taken immediately. The capacity of the dam Is 771,640 acre-feet of water.
