Notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes, at its next meeting to be held on the 10th day of August, 1937, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £SOOO for the provision of Workers’ Dwellings; such loan to be secured on a special rate of l-80th. of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Waikato County. It is not proposed to collect such rate but to meet the charges from the rents of the dwellings. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Waikato County Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting. Notice is hereby given that it is the intenlion of the Waikato County Council, at a meeting to be held on TUESDAY, the 10th day of August, 1937, to make and levy, under the provisions of Sections 120 and 121 of the Counties Act, 1920, and of the Rating Act, 1925, the following General Rates on the rateable value of all rateable property in the several ridings of the Waikato County: Whangamarino Riding, lid in the £; ITuntly Riding, lid in the £; Taupiri Riding, 1 l-8d in the £; Rototuna Riding, IJd in the £; Ruakura Riding, 1 l-8d in the £; Tamahere Riding, 1 i-8d in the £; Cambridge Riding, Id in the £; And also to make and levy, under the powers conferred by the Counties Act, 1920, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Rating Act, 1925, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the following Water rates in respect to the ordinary supply over the Fairfield and Hillcrest Water Supply Areas: Upon all land and buildings to which water Is supplied, where the annual value does not exceed £l2 10s, a rate of 10s, where the annual value exceeds £l2 10s, a rate of 6 per centum thereof: Upon all lands and buildings, other than dwellinghouses, to which water is supplied, and all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied within 100 yards of any part of the water-works, one-half of the rales above mentioned: Such rates to be for the year commencing April Ist., 1937 and terminatlng on March 3 Ist.. 1938, and to be payable to the Collector, in one sum, at the Waikato County Office, Grey Street, Hamilton East, on the Ist. day of September, 1937.
