CRICKET.
TWO PUTARURU CLUBS. SUCCESSFUL SEASON. (Special to Times.) PUTARURU, Thursday. At the annual meeting- or the two Putaruru cricket clubs, the Colts and the T.T.T., or the Matamata Cricket Association, there was a g-ood attendance and Mr F. Hunt presided. The annual report stated that tlnanclally and otherwise the teams had had a most successful season. Dances and organisations had left a credit balance o' £l3 17s lOd. It was agreed after discussion that the teams would Join up with Matnmata In preference to Rotorua and to enter the two teams (Colts and the T.T.T.). Officers elected were:—Patron, Mr Strang; president, Mr R. McLeod, vicepresidents, Messrs J. Christie, S. J. Parker, F Hunt, A. G. Leggatt and L. Ellis; secretary, Mr Noel Simmons; assistant secretary, Mr P. Callaghan; committee, liessrs N. Hunt. Inman, J. Parker, J. Elwell, F. Wilks, Ellis, E. Williams; delegates to Matamata Association, Messrs .1. Elwell, Noel Simmons, E. Rruce Smith, E. Williams, F. Wilks, J. Callaghan.
