The diplomatic correspondent of the Times says a preliminary report from the British Embassy at Peking- regarding allegations that an Embassy guard killed a Japanese oftleer. has reached the Foreign »rfllee. . It states that searching inquiry disclosed that no member of the guard was in the part ol Peking where the affray occurred. A piece of webbing believed to belong la British uniform and found near the scene, has been proved to be '»t a type not worn by the British guard.
