MISSIONER’S ZEAL. Having just completed a mission in the South Island, .\ll' Phllip Lewis, the evangelist known as “ The \Vanderlng Jew,“ arrived in Hamilton yesterday. Ile recently relurned from a mission in Australia, where he preached many sermons in bush and mining camps, and has been preaching the gospel for 38 yours. At all times he has been subjected to great hardships and difficult condiv (inns but these only instilled in hlm a prcalm- enthusiasl'n. "In all my travels I have never wanted [or a meal; people haw: always shared with me." he'snicl while hulking; to a \\‘aikalo Times rcpnrler. Mr Lewis first felt the urge to preach lhe gospel when he heard of lhe many children in the back—blocks of Australia to whom the Bible was unknonu.
