' MRB I. R. DALLIMORE. ‘ WELL-KNOWN RESIDENT. ‘ _— (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. i The death occurred this morning of a well-known resident in the person of Mrs Edith Rachel Dallimore, wifei or Mr H. i). Dallimore. of the legal‘ firm oi.’ Lewis and Dallimore, aged 56 years. i The late Mrs Dallimore, who hadl not enjoyed good health for the past} three years, was born in London,-being i the daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Miller, i of Acton, London. Deceased was edu- i noted and spent her early life in Acton ‘ and was married there to Mr Dalila more in 1901. Mrs Dailimore, with her husband and family, came to New Zealand in 1911. and for health rea-‘ sons they resided at Nelson for two; years. heron-e coming to Cambridge in 3 191 a. when Mr Dailimore entered into 1 partnership with Mr Lewis. i The late Mrs Dailimore was loved by all her close acquaintances and highly respected by the comanunity‘ for her kindly and gracious di-Sposition. ‘ She was a good citizen, taking’a keen 1 interest in all the affairs of the bor—ough and district. .\lrs Dallimore was an ardent, worker for the Anglican Church and was an active member at the Mothers‘ Union, Ladies' Guild, and Pliunket Society. Deceased is survived by her husband and the following children:— Messrs Henry Dallimore (Sydney), and Stanley Dallimore (Takapuna), and Mesdanies Norman Senn and Lamont Young tliamillon), and Misses Hilda Dallimore and Lois Dallimore (Cambridge). There are three grand- ‘ children. The funeral will be held on Saturday with a sel'vice at St. Andrew‘s and interment at the ilautnpu Genie-l tury. i —— l i , THE REV. G. B. INGLIS. The death occurred at Mount Eden yesterday, of the Rev. G. B. Inglis Mi). a. veteran minister of the Presbyterian Church, who had almost reached the 56th anniversary of his ordination to the ministry. -He was a son of Rev. Robert Inglis, one of the leaders in the disruption in Scotland In 1843, and came to New Zealand in 1880. ills first, charge was in the Clutha Presbytery. but in 1893 he transferred to Ashburlon where, in a ministry extending over 20 years, he built up a large congregation and did great service in church extension work. He resigned in 1914, come north, and took 'up work in the home mission charge of Mount Albert, which he raised to the position of a fully sanctioned charge after 12 months' labour. He retired in 1020, and since then has been active in the work of St. David's. lie was one of the pioneers of the scout movement. in New Zealand. and is credited with lhe honour of being the first minister in the Dominion to procure a motor—car.
