There was little or attractive quallty forward in stores. Fat lambs sold more briskly than last week. exporters rompetlng more splritedly. Export rates were fully malntalned. Fat: Sheen—The penning comprised 5000 head. 1000 more than last. week, but there was a firm sale throughout. Best wethers made from 275 to 305, special to 335, good average sorts from 234 to 265. Good ewes sold at. from 235 to '26s and medium '2os to 2'25 6d Freezing were down to US. Pat Cattle—firm: entry romprised 410 head. mostly of ordinary quality. The sale was a steady one, with little rhanse in values from last week. The heaviest. steers made from £ll to £l4, and the hulk of medium—“elsht prime from £8 1.35 to £lO 155. The best of the beef ranged from 255 to 27s 6d per 1001 b, and In a. few cases over, and medium quality from 235 to 215 6d. The preponderance of ordinary rmvs sold at about 185 to 21s per 1001 b. In the fat pig section there was a firming for bacon of id per lb, ‘due in the export rate being that much better, but there was a corresponding decline In the value. of porkers. which were down id for export.
