The Completion of the building has brought him another high honour. the London street Architecture Medal for 1936. This medal is awarded by the Royal Instituteot’ British Architects for the most meritorious building of the your erected within a certain radius of littering Cross. The designs are adju—dicated by a commiltee of distinguished srientisls. who also judge the designs submitted for the annual gold medal of the New Zeuiund institute of Architects. it is extremely improbable thut. he will return to practise his profession in New Zeaiund, where the opportuni—ties and rnmn-ds are coxnpuruii\-el.\' iimitrli‘ Other clever young urrhitcels of this ronnin hm’c hl'L‘t'CtM'll him. and have \\‘on their \\'sz to high places. The same remark applies to other professions. Many observers of this departure of brilliant men have remarked that New Zcztiund is too frequently :1 iminrr of talent tor the service of other countries. _._—_-
