MINISTER CONGRATULATED
TIIIUTIB To fill HON. w. LASH. ANULICAN UONP'TSHENUE. (Special Reporter). CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday. Congratulations to the Minister of Finance. the lion. W. Nash on his appointment as a member of the Cabinet were expressed at the Dominion conference or the Church of England Men‘s Society at Cambridge yesterday. Brother A. E. ii. Harrison (Auckland) considered that the conference should send congratulations to Mr Nash, who was a member of the Society. "it is a long time." said Mr ilarrison. “since a Minister or the crown has finished a speech in the terms used by the Minister of Finance in a broadcast speech recently. The Minister said at the conclusion or his speech that ‘we ‘, the Government) are trusting in God to give us the wisdom and knowledge to make conditions better for the people.“ The suggestion was supported by Archdeacon Russell 40amarui. who cold that the lioni W. Nash was one of the first members or the Church of England Men‘s Society and had al—ways given edification by his loyalty to the Society. The following motion, proposed by Mr Harrison and seconded by Arch-tir-aron Russell, was carried quid noemulation:— “Tlmt this ronference congratulates Brother the lion. W. Nash on his appointment to his present important position in the Government of mp. day and on his courageous witness Riven in that capacity, nud pi'nys that he may be richly hlesseri and guided in the responsihio notional work to which he has been rolled“
