“ELIZA COMES TO STAY." “Eliza Comes to Stay,” an amusing three—act ,comedy, interwoven with sliilt‘ul dramatic touches, was cleverly read by the Cambridge Literary and Dramatic Society to about sixty members in the Parish Hall on Monday evening. In this H. V. Esmond work, Mr A. G. Boyce, who was in charge of the evening, had selected a play which sustained the amusement of the audiw cnce, who showed their appreciationi of the work of the readers. Excellent work was done by the cast. in \\'hirh the leading roles of Sandy \Verrall and Eliza were played by Mr F. 11. Wooldridge, and Mrs G. S. \Vatson. .\lrs \V. Munroe, played a country aunt. and .\lr Chas Meredith Sandy‘s friend. .\lrs F, R. \Vooldridge played Vera Lawrence (Sandy‘s fiancee). and Mr S. Lewis Sandy‘s uncle. Minor roles were taken by Mr E. B. Kemsley. as ‘ Herbert the butler; and Miss G. Brann \ as Mrs Allowny, a nurse.
