In his four rides he was three times first whlkl in the Great Northern Steeplechase he was only beaten by llali‘a—lsngm lle rode Tangled Lo vlcmry In the Hunt Club Cup for which he received £18; his rlde on Clarion Call In the Ilemuem Hurdles brought him £27 while hls second place in the Sleeple—chase on Forest, Glow was worth £22 103. On Sporting Song in the Panmure Hurdles hls earnings were £lB. From Barrler to Judge, Thomson was riding for I'9 minutes 33 seconds and his riding fees amounted to £BS 105 which is over £4 a minute.
