HOTEL LICENSES.
WAITOMO OOMMITTEE MEETS. QUARTERLY SITTING HELD. (Times Representative). TE AWAMUTU, W’ednesday. The quarterly meeting of the Waitomo Licensing Committee was held in To Awamutu to-day. Mr F. H. Irlevlen, S.M., presiding. Also present were Messrs G. A. Empson, L. G. Armstrong. A. D. Wallace. A. Blackmail and G. Elllott. Renewals of license were granted to Roy Mnher (Commercial Hotel) and Mrs E. A. Kerr (Alpha Hotel, Killikihl). Appllcaiion for a permanent transfer or the To Awamutu Hotel from .I. D. Shea to E. 11. Cuclisey was granted. A new license to E. Cucksey was also granted. ‘ The permanent transfer of the Star Hotel, Kiltlkihi, from George D. W. Osborne to George Storey was also approved. Applicatlon (or a new license by Mr Storey was also grgnted.
Mr Levien said there had been fewer prosecutions in connection with hotels in the district during the year and this seemed to Indicate a satisfactory state of affairs.
