HAMILTON UNION.
MEETING OF MANAGEMENT. Mr A. E. Gibbons presided at the weekly meeting of the management committee of the Hamilton Rugby Union at the union rooms. The chairman reported that the proposed game on June 20 between | King's College, Auckland, and the Hamilton High School would not eventuate, owing to the Auckland school’s inability to lit in the fixture. Clearances were granted to J. Ansell and N. Svenson, and two players, T. Wharetini and L. Kelly, were registered, the latter subject to clearance. An application to litive A. liaughey regraded to llrst Junior by Technical Old Boys’ Club was referred to the Junior Board for consideration. The regrading of R. Holdaway (Railway), senior t-o junior, and S. Stubbs (Frankton), senior to junior, was approved. Accidents on the playing field to W. Skinner (Railway) and N. Graham (City) were notified and referred to the Insurance Fund. Late 'Starting. The secretary of the Waipa Subbunion wrote complaining that Hamilton teams were arriving at .Te Ama--111-ulu after the time set down for the commencement of play. it was decided to refer the matter to the central committee controlling the inter-union competition and to stress the necessity for starling promptly to time. A proposal was received by the Junior Board that the curtain-raiser on June 23 to the senior representative sub-union llxture be the Cambridge third-grade representatives v. Hamilton fourth-grade representatives. JUNIOR ADVIBORY BOARD. The Junior Advisory Board has appointed Mr R. Hooper, manager, and Messrs Hooper and McUell, coaches, of the junior represen la lives. Messrs Tiller, Hooper and Smillie have been appointed selectors of the fourth grade representatives, for whom it is hoped to arrange a game against Cambridge third grade representatives on June 23. A request from Western Suburbs for a game to be arranged with a school team on June 23 has been referred to the Secondary Schools’ Committee. It has been decided that all players in the fourth grade competitions must comply with the weight limit of 9st 71b. The curtain-raiser on Saturday, Frankton v. Te Kowhai, will he played between the two unbeaten junior teams.
