COMBINED BREEDERS.
COMBING BULL SALE. ARRANGEMENTS FOR FIXTURE. The principal business occupying a meeting of the Waikato Combined Breeders’ and Auctioneers' Association yesterday was the finalising of the date of tiie annual bull sale of the association. Mr <>. VY he well presided. The Farmers' Auctioneering Company recommended that the sale dates be September J 5, 16 and J 7, but Mr K. Wycherley, representing Messrs Yercoe and Company and Mr A. Lissette, representing Messrs Dalgety and Company, stated that September 16, 17 and IS would be preferable as their firms desired to keep Tuesdays clear. It was the opinion of members that the sale dates suggested were too early m the season as buyers would prefer to wait and buy at a later date. The holding of the sale at a later date would be to the advantage of buyers and sellers. Although it was indicated that the Te Awamutu and Cambridge bull sales were scheduled for the same week, it was the unanimous opinion that the sale should be a week later and that the dates should he Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, September 23, 2i and 25. The order of the sale will be: — Jerseys, Guernseys, Shorthorns, Friesians and Ayrshires. The secretary was instructed to write to the executive of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association expressing the Combined Breeders’ Association’s thanks for the extension of the verandah at the selling pavilion at Claudelands.
