G, Annetl, as a most successrul and progressive year was reviewed at the annual meeting of the Old Boys Association or the Hamilton Technical High School last evening. It was stated that membership had shown a considerable increase and the funds of the association were in an essentially sound position. Mr Annett referred to the success or the year‘s operations and said that for the ilrst time in the history of the association the annual meeting was being held apart from the reunion. which this year would take place on June 22. With the reunion attendances now exceeding 250 it was found impossible to conduct annual meeting business under these conditions. The association had experienced another successful year, stated the secretary, .\lr Cyril Paget, in the annual report. Owing to the large number or old pupils in Te Awamutu and Auckland, branches had been formed. together with a sub-branch at Wellington. Social functions had been arranged regularly, at noteworthy feature being the reunion dance, attended by about AOO old‘ pupils, in May. The association’s‘ finances were in a healthy condition,i the balance sheet showing a credit oi“ £2O. Reunion In Wellington. ‘ The principal or the school. Mr W. Fraser, referred to the success of a} recent reunion in Wellington last month, where a branch hnd beeni formed. With only two exceptional every old boy whose address in Wellington had been known were present and a strong committee had been ap—pointed. Later in the year, Mr Fraser said. he hoped to organise 9. further reunion or old pupils in Christchurch. The following oillccrs were elected: Patrons, Messrs W. Fraser-and S. )3. Sims; president, Mr A. R. Davies; vice—presidents. Messrs J. F. \V. Ilardinghant and Cyril Paget; secretary. Mr W. G. Seabrook; treasurer. Mr H. J. Dabh; general committee, Messrs D. Lock, 1). G. Annett, 0. Slow, 11. B. Smith, A. McLennan, J. A. McGrail, D. McDowell; auditor, Mr Noel Smith. Thu-o. Life Members. i Arrangements for the annual reunion, which is to be held in the i Centreway Tearooms on June 22, were ladvanced and special rebates to finanicial members of the association were considered. For their services over a lengthy term of years as executive omcers, Messrs Annett. Puget and McGrall were elected lite members of the association. Mr G. R. Magi“, of Te Aroha, a member or the association. was congratulated on his success in gaining admittance to the Royal Air Force, and votes of thanks were accorded 3” Fraser and the Board of Managers of the school. “It is largely due to Mr Fraser‘s efforts that the inssoriation and its sub-associations in To Awamutu, Auckland and \\’elilngton 'are flourishing in such a. healthy man- . ner.“ observed .\lr Annett.
