FROZEN MEAT.
SHIPMENTS TO BRITAIN. WELLINGTON, Monday. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia, South America and Soutii Africa to the United Kingdom during the first half of May, 1936, were as follows: Australia. —Carcases mutton, 20.274; carcases lamb, 149, 173; quarters beef, frozen 41,098, chilled 8341. ; South America.—Carcases mutton, .'57,952; carcases lamb, 146,479; quarters beef, frozen 483, chilled 233,557. Included in the South American figures are 96,732 carcases of lamb and 1 54, 250 carcases of mutton shipped from Patagonia. South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia). —Quarters beef, chilled, 2848. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the first half of May were as follows: New Zealand.—Carcases mutton, 105,367; carcases lamb, 569,548; quarters bee'f, frozen 8798, chilled 5565. _
