FORSGREN AND \YOODS. \Vaikato wrestling enthusiasts will have their first opportunity on Thurs—day‘of seeing in action two 01‘ the most popular and Successful of the wrestlers appearing under the Dominion Union's control this season. Jack Forsgrl-n. heavyweight champion of Canada, and a lending contender for the British heavyweight title, will meet Joe Ko—paeh Woods, of America, a tireless and colourtul worker in the ring. Fors—gren, who has wrestled all over the United States and Canada during the past few years, won the Canadian light-heavyweight and heavyweight amateur titles as an amateur, and the professional heavyweight 'title in 1932. lie subsequently lost it to Earl McCresdy but regained it after the latter left for New Zeaisnd. Woods, after sharing his time between boxing and wrestling as an amateur. first came into prominence as a boxer. lie won the American amateur heavyweight championship in 1925 and then turned professional. Having exhausted his available oppon‘ ents in the United States he AVGHi.‘ 'abrosd in 1930 and in South Africa twice knocked out the African cham‘pion, Don McCorkindale, being the first .man to do so. it was shortly after he got back that he changed over to ‘wrestling and he rapidly progressed to a high position in the sport.
