The Prime Minister, whilst expressing pleasure at the progress made with the Government legislation. does not. think it Will be possible for Parliament to so into recess before the second week in June as there are several important measures yet to be dealt With. The Rent Restriction Bill will prob—ably be introduced on Tuesday and an imprest Supply Bill wlil have to be dealt with. The House will reassemble in Jul} when the Government's Second .\lortgage Bill providing for a readjustment or mortgages on the basis of the guaranteed prices \\‘ili he submitted and passed. This will provide ample time for a large field staff on valuatiom to complete their work before “I! guaranteed price scheme become; operative in August.
