Colonel and Mrs Charles Lindbergh were among the guests at a dinner given by the King at Buckingham Palace, London, on Thursday evening. Mr Justice Fair, who is presiding at the Supreme Court sessions in Hamilton, returned to Auckland for the week-end. Professor L. Bosshard. an eminent Swiss geologist, has arrived at Sydney. en route to New Zealand. Superintendent E. Chins, who has been in charge of the VVsnganui prison for 16 years. is to retire on superannuation, having completed 41 years of service. Mr P. J. Ryan was yesterday admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court at Auckland by Mr Justice Csiian. Messrs A. H. Marshall (Marion). A E. Spratt (’i‘e Puke), A. W. Soon (New Plymouth), .\l. J. Lynch {Whansarei) J. Tait (Wellington), E. A. Brook, “2 J. Crowiher, J. N. Dalton. A. A. Clarke and T. Gill (Auckland) are at the Hamilton iloiel Captain A. H. Davey. of the .\ionowai, will leave the vessel after she arrives al. Sydney on Monday and he will be relieved by Captain G. B. Morgan. Captain Davey will proceed to England to take command of the new inlerrolunial liner Awatoa. which is due in New Zeuiahd early in Seplemher.
