Polson, president of the Farmers‘ Union and Opposition mem—ber for Sti'atford, referring to a chal—lenge. issued by Mr H. lan simson in a letter in the Dominion on Monday last. Mr Simson suggested that Mr Polson should resign his seat, and offer himself for re—election, in which case Mr Simson would contest the seat with him. Should Mr Poison be successful at the lay-election. Mr Simson and his friends would reimburse his expenses.
