Jack Forsgren, the Canadian champion. is one or the moss interesting personalities in the game, In his youth he quickly became prominent as an allround athlete. doing particularly well at baseball and Canadian football. Ii was as a wrestler. however, that 'he showed most promise and when he devoted himself seriously to it he soon placed himself at the head or the amateurs in his country. He has been a professional for about seven years during which time he has wrestled all the stars in the United States as well ias in Canada. In New Zealand Fors~ tgren has shown such excellent form ‘ that he has become one of the most popular members of the season's high ’class importations. He \has all the attributes, physical and otherwise. or i a champion. and. in addition, there is ‘ a touch of “devil" about. his perform- ‘ ances which makes him a certain draw- ‘ in card. in meeting .'Woods he will be pitted against a man who is certain to keep him going at top the whole time, Woods has an acquaintance with both the ring sports dating back 15 years or more—Aha is now about 30 years old. From the start be mixed boxing and wrestling and won Michigan State championships in both. In 1925 he won the American heavyweight amateur boxing championship and then turned professional. quickly establish—ing himself against the best opposition available. He commenced hisi wrestling career six years ago and one of 'his first victims was Billy Edwards. He has also beaten Count; Varga, Jack McDonald, Chris Zaharias.l and Al Karasick. I
