' A representative bench or buyers from all over New Zeuland was pre—sent at the dispersal u. pedigree 'l‘amworth and Berkshire pigs held at Claudelands yesterday on behalf of Messrs. \V. .\. .\‘ixun {liotoruu} and R. Chilcott, 01' Te Rapa. Bidding was spirited and apart from isolated cases. pigs were quitted at figures in advance of rates ruling at previous offerings, and a brisk sale resulted. The top price. 18 guinea. was realised for Mr 11. Chilcott's sow. Te Rana Doris, purchased by Mr E. J. Jones. Eureka. In the section for maiden Berkshire sows 13; guinea was received for Mr Chllcott‘s sow. Te Rapa Lucy 3rd. while 15 sulneas was the figure paid for Te Rape Lucy 1., from the same vendor. Berkshire boars were traded at from A to 12 guinea: while Tamworths realised 3 guineas to 13; guineas. Sows were eagerly sought for, Berkshires in particular meeting a keen demand, Prices for maiden Berkshire sows ranged from 75 guineus lo 151 guineas. 'l‘umworih hO\\'s met with a really sale, realising from -’i guinea: lo 10 guiums.
