' Following a protracted discussion. the Wellington District, Intel‘provlnclal Conference or the Farmers‘ Union at Feildlng this morning carrled the following resolution: "This conference strongly objects to any alterations being made to the regulations governing the importation of live stock from countrles where foot. and mouth dis—ease is prevalent.“ The conference rejected two amendments—one seeking the total nbolltlon or the importation of stark and the other im‘ourlng importations under revised regulations which would onsure safety.
