I A conference or the contributing authorities to the Kaipara Hospital ;Board and members of the board de—‘cided yesterday that the board should: (1) Have. plans prepared for such additional accommodation at the Northern Wairoa Hospital at T 0 Kopuru as would provide temporarily for present urgent needs; (2) that a comprehensive building programme be instituted; (3) that the new hospi—tal buildings should he at Darsaville and not at Te Kopuru, which is geo—-graphic-ally unsuitable; and N) that the board should secure options over suitable sites in Dargaville and request the Health Department to send an omcial to inspect the sites in order to obtain the Department's approval

of the most suitable one offering. The architect estimated that the temporary additions at Te Kopuru would cost £3OOO, and if in permanent materials £IO,OOO. If the hospital is moved to Dargaville the new institution would cost approximately £50,000.
