WOMEN’S DIVISION.
TE AROHA—WAIHOU BRANCH. The president, Mrs Stewart, occupied the chair at the May meeting of the Te Aroha-Waihou branch of the Women’s Division. After lunch and a social hour members were privileged to listen to Mrs W. C. Turner, of Te Aroha, who gave a most interesting talk on matters that vitally affect the lives of the young people of to-day. A very helpful discussion followed and a hearty vote of thanks was unanimously accorded the speaker. Winter work in the nature of crochet and knitted wool articles was arranged, and work distributed among members. The thought for the month was “ Self-reverence, self knowledge, self oontrol. These three alone lead life to sovereign power”—Tennyson. The hostesses for lunch were Mesdames Priest and Voysey.
