WAIKA'I'O WINTER SHOW. AFTER OFFICIAL OPENING. A very pleasant function was held in the Concert Chamber after the omcial opening of the \Vaikato Winter Show by lhe Prime Minister, the Right Honourable .\I. J. Savage, yesterday afternoon, when the Prime Minister, visiting members of Parliament, and their wives, members of the Borough Council and their wives, and members of the Executive Committee of the Waikato \Vinter Show and_thelr wives were entertained at afternoon tea. The Concert Chamber, which had been arranged as a lounge with a.‘ profusion of brilliant toned autumn; foliage and great nikuu fronds. looked‘ delightful. The tables were say with‘ Iceland poppies and autumn leaves‘ and a delirious afternoon tea was served by members of a ladies' committee. .\lrs 11. C. Ross and Mrs F'. Bullock were the hostesses, Mrs Ross wearing a smart black tailored costume and hat. with white accessories. .\irs Bullock was wearing a brown tailored rostumr with furs and amber rust hat.
