MEMORIAL PANEL.
UNVEILED IN LONDON. SERVICE IN NEW ZEALAND. United Press A55n.-—EIPC. Tel. Copyright. LONDON. May 25. A memorial panel was unveiled today with two sanctuary candlesticks in St. Lawrence. Jewry. the official New Zeaiand church in London. The panel was dedicated by Archdeacon Sharp to the memory of the Rev. \V. P. Besiey, who was rector from 1920 10 1931: and formerly a schoolmaster in New Zeainnci. The first masinr of the New Zealand Lodge. Mr ii. U. L. \Villiams. read the lesson. The Rev. \\'aiier Philip Besioy. who was born at Ra‘rnstnpic, England. in 1870. was an assistant master at the Collegiate School. Wanganui, 1892-3. and at the Heretaunga S-chooi. Hast—ings, New Zealand, in 1894. He was honorary priest to the King. After ieaving the Dominion he was a choral scholar at King's College, Cambridge. . 1895-7, and became a deacon in 1897 i and a. priest in the following year.
