BIGAMY ADMITTED.
MAINTENANCE OFFENDER. SIX .\IONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT. Arrears of maintenance amounting - to £35 in respect of his wife were ‘ admitted by Charles Matthew Hutchinson, when charged with disobedience of a maintenance order before Mr S. . L. Paterson, 5..\1., in the Hamilton Magistrate‘s Court this morning. To the maintenance officer, Mr .\I. [‘ McCormack, defendant admitted there ,{ was a. maintenance order against him ,1 in respect or an illegitimate child but H he had paid nothing for the child‘s' maintenance. Last August, under the \ name of Hudson, he had married a “ girl in Hamilton East although he was i already married. ' In reply to the maintenance emcer's request to have the girl‘s name sup—pressed Mr Paterson said it appeared that Hutchinson should be charged with ' higamy and in the meantime he wouhi ! urticr the suppression of the girl'sl mime. Hutchinson was convicted and son—tenced to six mouths' imprisonment \\'iih hunt iulmur.
