A space has also been reserved for returned soldiers. and it is anticipated that the ground! will be lined by thousands of specHaters.

To New Zealanders the ceremony will he a rarity. Full military formalities will be observed and spectacular and elaborate infantry moVL‘mEnts on an extensive scale will he performed. The regiment, utter iurming up. “'3“ be reviewed and inspected before the old colours are marched to the rear. and the consecration will be performed by the Dean of Hamilton, the Very Rev. T. P. \\'eatherhug. After the presentation of the new colours Viscount Galway will give an addressthe Commanding Ofllcer. LieutenantColonei H. V'. Closey. replying. Dominion-wide Intend— Dominion-wide interest has been evinced in the ceremony and many distinguished visitors will be in Hamilton over the week-end. Sir \Villiam Sinclair-Burgess, Commander of the New Zealand Forces. and Commodore the Hon, E. H. Drummond, outcer Commanding the New Zealand Naval Division. will be present, and a large contingent of members of the 16th \Vaikato New Zealand Expeditionary Force Veterans' Association will travel to Hamilton from Auckland to-morrow morning" Keen interest has been shown in the colours since they hare been on display in .\iessrs House and Daktng's premises in Victoria Street. The King's colour consists of the Union Jack with the regimental crest in the centre, while the Regimental colour. with the epic challenge or Rewi Maniapoto, “Ks Whalwha tonu ake. aka," inscribed as the motto. has ten or the most notable honours conferred upon the regiment: Flers—Courcelette. Arras 1918. Bapaume 1918. Canal Du Nord, Sambre, .\iessines 1917. Broodseinde, Krithia. Anzac and Sari Bar—emblazoned on the silk. This has been one of the few occasions on which the colours may be seen at close quarters. as, following their consecration. their exhibition is governed by strict military regulations. To cope with the tratllo Hill Street will he closed to traffic from IJS p.m. until the completion or the coremony, while no vehicular tramc will be allowed to travel along Ward Street in the direction 01’ Victoria Street during that period. TO-lIIORROW'S CEREMONY. INFLUX OF OFFICERS. The Governor-General and Lad) ‘Galway, will arrive in Hamilton by the express from Wellington to-morrow morning. The Vice-Regal party may attend matins at St. Peter‘s Cathedral in the morning and will proceed to 'l‘okaanu to-morrow evening. Several 01’ the prominent military onlcers to be present at the ceremony arrived in Hamilton to-day, including Sir William Sinclair-Burgess, ofllcer-in-command of the New Zealand Forces. The ceremony holds particular interest for him as, when captain in 1911, he was one of the first adju—tants ot the regiment. Colonel J. E. Duigun, omcer-in-command of the Northern Command and the AdjutantGenerai. Colonel 0. 11. Mead, D. 5.0.. also arrived in ilamilton this morning. This evening the visitors will be entertained at a mess dinner and to-nlght about 100 officers will be the guest: or the Hamilton Orphans‘ Club. It was stated this morning by ofllcera of the regiment that. in order that congestion may be eliminated, it is hoped that all seats will be occupied at tho ground by 2.30 p.m.
