At the Mangateparu Hockey Club's carnival dance held in the Mans-steparu Hall near Morrinsville, opportunity was taken by the president, Mr H. V. Chapman to present a framed testimonial to Mr R. J. Mulcahy, who was recently elected a life member for his services to the men's hockey club as vice-captain and a keen supporter since the club was formed in 1932. Mr Mulcahy suitably responded. Railway Station Improvement. A dozen men of the Hallway Department's permanent way stan‘ are engaged in alterations to the loop rails in Morrlnsvllle railway station. This will enable larger trains to be accommodated and is part of extensive alterations in the station to deal with increasing rail trams. Municipal land. The )iorrlnsville Municipal Band has held several well—attended practices under the director or ill? new bandnlaster. Mr L. nuchan.
