VERDICT OF SUICIDE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. At an inquest held yesterday into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Hubert Earle Valle, whose body was recovered from the harbour near the Orakei wharf on Wednesday, the coroner. Mr Wyvern Wilson, returned a verdict of suicide by drown -
The evidence showed that deceased had left messages indicating intention to take his own life. The body, when recovered, was fully clothed and the pockets of the overcoat and trousers were filled wilh stones, the ankles and wrists being also bound. No reason could be adduced for the act.
