Indications are for generally fair weather to-day and possibly to-morrow, with seasonable temperature; southerly winds prevailing. The Rainfall. Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .09in. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .00in. Total rainfall for May to date, i.711n. Average rainfall for May, 4.63in. Rainfall for year to date, 26.12in. Average yearly rainfall, 4 6.321 n. SPECIAL FORECAST. (By Govt. Meteorologist-1 The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WalkatoThames Valley Is as follows: Forecast: Moderate to strong south-east winds. Weather cold and changeable with rain in places. Seas rough to rough. General Inference: Pressure is still rather low to the north, but an intense anticyclone now extends on to New Zealand with the highest pressure in the far south. |
