POWER RETICULATION.

NEARING DARGAVILLE. WEATHER ASSISTS OPERATIONS. DARGAVILLE, Thursday. “ Given another month of this weather and we will have the main power reticulation poles from the Wairere sub-station into Dargaville borough,” said the engineer of the North Auckland Electric Power Board, Mr T. R. Overton, this morning.

For two months the board’s staff has been -distributing poles and crossarms along 30 odd miles comprising the surveyed route. Pole erection gangs have folio,wed closely with the result that the poles are erected through the Paparoa, Matakohe, and Ruawai districts.

Gangs are now working in the vicinity of Tokatoka within 15 miles of Dargaville borough. “ The present spell of dry weather,” said the engineer, “ has been particularly favourable to our operations when crossing the area of the Ruawai swamp.”
