OBITUARY.
+— MR WILLIAM ARMSTRONG. The death occured at Hamilton today of Mr William Armstrong, aged 86.; Mr Armstrong was born at Donegal, County Mar, Ireland. When about 25 he came to New Zealand where he was attracted by the gold rush at Thames and Ohinemuri. From 1875 to 1902 Mr Armstrong remained in this district and after his marriage he moved to Kawhia. However. he re—commenced prospecting at \Nharekawa \Vhangamata. Tairua, and Mercury, Bay on the east coast. For many years he was employed in the Kauri‘ Timber Company at Thames. ; Mr Armstrong is survived by three dauhgiers and three sonsz—Mesdames A.
