a“. SOCCER CLUB DANCE. The Pukemiro and Glen Afton Soccer Club held their weekly dance in the GJEn Afton Hall on Saturday. Mr J. Lawson's Piano—accordeon Band played excellent music and Mr J. Adams was M.C, There was ‘a large number present. A novelty waltz was won by Mr Marshall and Mrs W. Thomas. WHIST DRIVES. ’T‘he \\‘nmen‘s Institute held their fortnightly “his: drive on Friday evening, Mr T. \\'ilson winning ”ll" men‘s prize and Mrs Pears the ladies. The Pukmniro Anglican Ladics' Guild held Hlf‘il‘ weekly whist drive in the Minors‘ Hall. The winners were: Men, Mr \\‘. Cole; ladies, Mrs Dryburgh and Mrs Glendenning tied. _._..___.=
