DELIGHTFUL EVENING.
I PRESENTATION OF PLAYS. ' LYCEUM CLUB FUNCTION, ‘ l l A most. enjoyable evening arranged‘ by the. Hamilton Lyceum Club was‘ ‘llt‘ltl in the clubroonls last evening when there was a large attendance and u very happy time was spent. The lounge looked delightful with a blazing fire and bowls 01‘ foliage and autumn leaves and later in the evening a delicious supper was served. l The guests were received by Mrs 11. T. Gillies wearing a frock of black and rose patterned georgette. An apology for absence was received from the' president, Mrs Hugh Douglas. During the evening Mr J. F. Montague and The Hamilton Players presented most enjoyable readings as follows: Scene from Macbeth, Mr J. 1“. Montague and Miss P. Torpy; “The Banns of Marriage." a comedy, Mr J. F. Montague, Mr F‘. .lnrkson, Mrs V. (llney, Miss P. Torpy; sketches, “Putting Him in llis Place." Misses Eileen 'llopc, Dorothy Robertson and Rosalie Sed—l dun, “The Wild t‘mt." Mr F. Jackson and Miss Eileen Ilene. A mush-:11 monologue by Mrs V. film-y and songs by Miss Rosalie Sed—dnn‘ were much nppreviated. Among those present, were:— Atesrlanies .l.
