Bidding was keen for all classes and a good sale resulted. sheep: Fat medium ewes, 235; ‘2.—tooth wethers (small), 233; medium weight fat lambs, 19s to £1; medium weight fat lambs, 17s 6d to 195; store lambs, 12s 6d to 145 1d; eull ewes, 12s 6d. Cattle: Light-weight. steers, £6 to £6 Ms; heavy fat cows, £4 105 'to £5; medium weight fat heifers, £3 15s to £4 25; medium fat Jersey 'cows, £3 to £3 153; heavy boner cows, £2 55 to £2 153; light boners, 255 to 37s 6d; cows with runners at foot, £2 103 to £2 165; all counted; smaller sorts, £2; rough 3—year steers, £4 to £4 55; small 2-year.steers (Jersey), £2 115; medium potter hulls, £2 155 to £3 17s 6d. Dairies: Medium quality Jersey heifers (June—July calvers), £6 25 ed to £6 12s 6d; later sorts, £ll 155 to £5 55; small, £3 55 to £4; ealved Jer—sey heifers, £4 to £4 75 6d; others,j £2 105 to £3 55; cows (sound), £3l to‘ £4 153; cull cows, £2 to £2 155. Pigs: There was a medium yurdius of fat pigs, comprising for the main: part pork, very few haconers coming; forward. Baconers maintained reeenil quotations, while porkers showed 3‘ decline on our previous sale, but main—tained Frankion quotations. ’l‘here‘ was a heavy yarding of store andl weaner pigs which met with a steady demand.
