YOUNG FORGER SENTENCED. CIVIL CLAIM FOR £2707. (By Teleeraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Tuesday. The Supreme Court opened to-day before Mr Justice Kennedy and heard only one criminal case, in which Austin O’Donnell, aged 24, pleaded guilty to forgery and was sentenced to eight months’ reformative detention. Tlie Court is engaged in hearing a civil claim in which Stan Robertson, through his guardian, is suing Archibald Thomson for damages totalling £2707 on account of injuries sustained when lo‘ was struck by defendant’s motor car and permanently disabled. Defendant paid into Court iMIOo, which lie eonsidcre i a fair settlement. The Court is now hearing evidence.
