PIG BREEDERS.
SOUTH AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. A satisfactory state of affairs was disclosed at the annual meeting of the South Auckland branch of the New Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association yesterday. The president, Mr R. ! Chilcott, presided over a fair attendance. Also present were Messrs G. Jamieson, L. Barry, A. T. Rogers, G. V. Fletcher and A. W. Green (seere- ■ tary). In his report the president stated that shortly after the last meeting the council and annual meeting of the New Zealand Pig Brecdeds’ Association were held in Hamilton, and it was most gratifying to receive the splendid support rendered by the members of the branch to make those meetings the great success they proved to be. All undoubtedly enpoyed their stay, and the trips to Hie various herds in Hie district created interest and proved In recognition of the branch’s efforts the council forwarded a donaI tion of £5 as an entertainment allowance. “It is very satisfactory,” the ! report continues, “to note that the 'council approved of all names submitted on the revised list of oflicial , and associate judges recommended by this branch; and, furthermore, it is of interest to learn that the council has now decided to ask all branches to revise their lists,, of judges annually, in accordance with the practice followed by the South Auckland branch.” Election of Officers. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr R. Chilcott; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Barry and | C». Jamieson; secretary-treasurer, Mr I A. W. Green.
