WAITAKI HOSPITAL ABBET. £ISOO FOR CHILDREN’S BLOCK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU, Tuesday. The Waitaki Hospital Board this morning gratefully accepted the offer of a magnificent gift by Mr Samuel Saltzman, of Dunedin. Expressing appreciation of the treatment of doctors, matron and the board and recognising the need for a children’s open-air block to accommodate eight beds, a playroom, solarium, etc., Mr Saltzman offered to donate the oost of same—£lsoo. The board in a resolution expressed appreciation of the generosity of the donor.
