MORRINSVILLE DANCE.

HOCKEY OFFICIAL HONOURED. The Morrinsville Ladies’ Hockey Club held a well-attended dance in the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening, when members and supporters of clubs in the Piako Hockey Association were present to show their appreciation of the services rendered to hockey by Miss B. Gibb, who has been treasurer of the Piako Hookey Association and captain of the Morrinsvllle ladies’ team for several years. Miss Gibb is to be married in the near future.

During the evening Mr H. D. Hastie, secretary of the Piako Hockey Association, presented Miss Gibb with a handsome mantelpiece clock as a token -of appreciation from the clubs affiliated to the Piako association and from the association executive. Miss I Campbell, captain -of the Morrinsville ladies, made the presentation of a crystal rosebowl on behalf of Miss Gibbs’ clubmates, and musical honours were accorded. Miss Gibb returned thanks for the pleasant evening and the kindly gifts. She was wearing a frock of black panne velvet, relieved with silver. Among those present were: Mesdames A. H. Ensor, wearing black georgette; A. J. Aitken, blue floral crepe; Bunting (Te Kauwhata), blue lace; W. Manning, wine satin. Misses N. Arndt, saxe blue sprigged organdie; D Arndt, tangerine georgette; E. Arndt, floral crepe moire; M. Arndt, black velvet, white relief; D. Bennett, pink satin; C. Davies, maroon tunic; E. Crosby, brown velvet;. I. Campbell, pink moss crepe; B. Colson, green satin beaute; K. Casey, blue chiffon; M. Fausett, ivory silk velvet, relieved with red; B. Clifford, ivory crepe suede; M Gallagher (Waharoa), royal crepe and silver metal; E. Gray, black velvet; J. Ganley, mustard silk; F. Hishon, redwing velvet relieved with black; J. Kerr, blue floral voile; N. Kerr, black satin; N. King, orange satin and silver lame; E. Low, floral taffeta; I. Low, red satin; M. Marshall (Te Puninga), daffodil marocain; D Marshall (Te Puninga), floral organdie; Melville, black and white satin; G. Meek, brown chenille velvet; Quinn, green velvet; R. Mellars, Marina blue silk velvet; Pelman, red satin beaute; F. Robertson, blue sand crepe; B. Scott, green flat crepe and silver lame; J. Taylor, powder blue taffeta; M. Trethowen, sapphire blue crinkled crepe; C. Wright, silver lame; V. Wilcock, black rayon georgette and silver lame.
