BOY SOLDIERS.- An Italian boy of the 18th century is said to have the signal in Genoa for the Italian revolt against Austrians. His name Balilla,. was taken for Italy’s boy-soldier organisation. Above is a modern conception of the boy erected in the Forum Mussolini, the new sports centre in Rome. Around the statue are Balilla members.
